  • Deleted when you delete your account or individual repair requests

2.3 Voice and Audio Data

If you use our voice assistance feature, we may collect audio recordings through your device's microphone. This data is:

  • Used for AI-powered repair assistance
  • Not stored permanently on our servers

2.4 Location Information

We collect location information to:

  • Help you find nearby contractors
  • Provide accurate address information for repair services
  • Improve contractor search results

We collect location data through your postal code and address information that you provide. We may also access your device's location services with your explicit permission.

2.5 Repair Request Data

When you create repair requests, we collect:

  • Contractor type recommendations
  • Estimated costs and repair timelines
  • Tools and materials needed
  • Repair steps and instructions

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We use the following third-party services that may have access to your information:

4.1 Supabase

We use Supabase for:

  • User authentication and account management
  • Secure database storage of your profile and repair data
  • Cloud storage for photos and images

4.2 OpenAI

We use OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model to analyze repair photos and generate diagnoses. When you submit a photo:

  • Your photo is sent to OpenAI for analysis
  • OpenAI processes the image to identify repair issues
  • OpenAI does not use your data to train their models (as per their API terms)

4.3 Google Places API

We use Google Places API to:

  • Provide address autocomplete functionality
  • Search for nearby contractors based on your location
  • Display contractor information, ratings, and contact details

When you search for contractors, your location (postal code) is sent to Google Places API. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

4.4 Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We only share your information:

  • With third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf (as described above)
  • When required by law or to protect our rights and safety

  • All your repair requests and photos are deleted
  • Your authentication account is removed
  • This action cannot be undone

6.4 Permission Controls

You can control app permissions through your device settings:

  • Camera: Disable to prevent photo capture
  • Microphone: Disable to prevent voice recording
  • Location: Disable to prevent location access

Note: Disabling certain permissions may limit the App's functionality.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically:

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account
  • Repair requests: Retained until you delete them or your account
  • Photos: Retained until you delete them or your account
  • Voice recordings: Not stored permanently; processed in real-time

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. By using our App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
